SEAT presents the Leon Cross Sport Show Car

Frankfurt, 14/09/2015. –SEAT President Jürgen Stackmann presented the Leon Cross Sport Show Car at the Volkswagen Group media event, a prelude to tomorrow’s opening of the Frankfurt Motor Show.


The SEAT Leon Cross Sport features the performance of a compact sports car and the distinctive coupé styling of a two-door, combined with the versatility of electronically controlled all-wheel drive and 41 mm more ground clearance. Furthermore, its appealing design impresses with perfect proportions and crisp lines characterised by the highest standards of precision and quality.

During his speech at the Volkswagen Group evening, Jürgen Stackmann pointed out that “the SEAT Leon family is not only a tremendous success, but it is also surprisingly versatile. We tried out a new idea for the Leon Cross Sport – the performance of the Leon CUPRA combined with the multiple possibilities of an all-terrain vehicle. The resulting Leon Cross Sport is ideal for the brand and for a young and active lifestyle. Furthermore, as a compact two-door, this crossover is a perfect match for the urban jungle of city dwellers”.


The SEAT Leon Cross Sport Show Car gets its performance output from the Leon CUPRA. Its two-litre engine generates 300 PS of power and accelerates to 100 km/h from standstill in only 4.9 seconds. As with all current SEAT models, the Leon Cross Sport features latest generation connectivity, enabling smartphones from different makers and platforms to conveniently and comfortably connect to the vehicle system using Full Link. And further mention goes to the most innovative driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control with Front Assist, a specially adapted electronic stability system, road sign recognition, progressive steering and lane keeping assistance.
